World Refugee Day - Part 2. Austin, Texas. June 26, 2010

A festival celebrating UN World Refugee Day was held at the Bob Bullock State History Museum on June 26, 2010. The festivities began with the naturalization of 15-20 Austin area refugees followed by music and dance performances. There was also a raffle that garnered attention from many of the participants. It included many regular household items like plates, utensils, and sheets. You forget how important these items are until you see how thankful people were to receive them.
